Vectis Equine Vets is the longest standing, dedicated, equine veterinary practice based on the Isle of Wight, caring for the requirements of horses, donkeys and ponies across the island, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Founded in September 2007 the practice has built a reputation for high quality care with a friendly, compassionate attitude. The ambulatory side of the practice covers the whole of the Isle of Wight with two full time vets, Kate and Leire, living and working on the island. Our clinic is centrally based in Newport and offers facilities for more complicated diagnostic work up or standing surgery.
We are committed to providing top quality care and consequently both Kate and Leire are highly experienced vets and have postgraduate qualifications ensuring your horse, pony or donkey is receiving the best care possible at affordable, competitive prices.

We are delighted to have been nominated for Practice of the Year and Vet of the Year in the Petplan Veterinary Awards 2013. Until the end of June the laboratory fees for ACTH to detect Equine Cushings Disease will be free of charge. Cushings disease has been found to be the most prevalent cause of laminitis so testing can help laminitis prone horses as well as those showing signs of Cushings disease.
